Details

Thanks to the wide range of colors, you can perfectly match the window sill to your exterior joinery and façade. Each sill is produced as standard in 2 mm thick aluminum and comes with a 5° slope, ensuring controlled drainage of rainwater and protecting your façade against moisture and dirt. The integrated drip edge ensures that water runs off neatly without leaving marks on the wall.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT LENGTH AND WIDTH

1. Length

  • Brickwork: measure the distance between bricks and subtract 5 to 6 mm (2 x 2 mm for the end pieces + 1 to 2 mm clearance)
  • Plasterwork: the end pieces have a horizontal edge and are integrated into the plaster. Therefore, add 2 x 15 mm to the visible plaster dimension
  • TIP: choose up to 2 mm extra clearance per side for dark sills to compensate for thermal expansion.

2. Width (depth)

  • Measure the distance between the outside of the wall and the sub-profile where the sill will be mounted. Add 30 to 40 mm to this measurement so the sill projects enough for proper water drainage.

3. Back height (screw side)

  • 25 mm: standard back height
  • 17 mm: when there is little space between the bottom of the frame and the top of the outer wall
  • 0 mm (no back): ideal for renovation combined with mounting brackets
  • TIP: select the slotted holes option in the configurator for easier installation.
INSTALLATION IN THREE SIMPLE STEPS

1. Preparation

  • Place mounting brackets for widths ≥ 150 mm to prevent bending and wind load.
  • Apply an anti-drumming strip under the sill over at least 1/3 of its width along the entire length. This prevents noise during heavy rain.
  • TIP: select the option in the configurator to have the anti-drumming strip installed in the workshop

2. Fixing

  • Screw the sill in place through the back using stainless steel screws, each with a sealing washer.
  • Check that the anti-drumming strip fits well and remains invisible after installation.

3. Finishing

  • Install the end pieces with an elastic sealant (brickwork or plasterwork).
  • Check clearance and alignment.
  • Seal any joints with a suitable elastic sealant for a watertight finish.
